About the Church

On January 31, 2015, Bishop Weatherly along with Brother Billy O’Dell began to look over the city of Sand Springs searching for a place to have church. They were just about to give up, but as they came up to the top of the hill, they saw a building that is now known as Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Bishop called the realtor's number off the sign and Brother Billy O'Dell anointed and prayed over all the doorways that the Lords will be done. The realtor asked if they could stay for 15 minutes as the realtor made his way to the building, so they stayed. Upon arriving, they walked into the building; they had already petitioned to God what the finances needed to be as well as the conditions of the contract. The realtor sheepishly began to lay out the conditions exactly as they had petitioned God for, to the last request. Within 15 minutes of their meeting they had a ‘sold’ sign out front, then began to have church services on February 7th, 2015. Shortly God began to move in a mighty way in the service and not long after without any advertising, God began to send people to the church. In July of our second year, we were informed by the owners that we had 30 days to vacate the premises without any explanations, Bishop sought counsel from preachers that were his elders and the consensus was to go somewhere else and seek another building, when Bishop began to seek the Lord for himself the only message he received from God was to continue having church. So, without following the conventional wisdom of man he continued having church, and God continued to bless, people were baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost. There was no communication for 6 months with the owners. After no communication, the owner called the Bishop, and he explained who we were and the name of Jesus that we represented and preached One God to her for over an hour. At the end of their conversation, they set out a new deal to complete the sale of the church. And now, after 5 years, we are still standing and have all but completed the purchase of the church. We continue working on making an impact on our community, and we are still standing by the grace of God.
